With a stunning view of Jamestown Bay, this water front home is the perfect place for entertaining guests or relaxing in privacy. To fully enjoy their outdoor living space, the homeowners needed a way to keep out biting insects without losing their clear view of the water.
The homeowners chose to install Phantom’s motorized screens onto their back porch. The screens appear at the touch of a button when bug protection is needed and can retract completely out-of-sight when not in use. They are connected to a wind sensor, which automatically raises them when the wind reaches 40 MPH. The homeowners say that the screens have made their porch an enjoyable outdoor extension of their home.

The screens feature Phifer 18/14 insect mesh with a 58% openness so the waterfront view can be enjoyed without having to worry about letting in the bugs.

When needed, the screens are lowered at the touch of a button on a remote control or a control pad.

Phantom’s motorized screens retract into cavities designed above the openings, completely hiding them from view. This way the screens don’t distract from the design of the porch.
