About the home
Every year the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) highlights the latest in building technology by creating a show home as part of the International Builders Show. In 2014 the home was built overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and our screens were an integral part of this amazing home.
Designed by Jeffrey Berkus, the head-turning 6,700 sq. ft. 2014 New American Home® merges energy efficiency and sustainability with a contemporary transitional style. It was built by Element Building Company and blends old world traditional character with modern chrome and glass elements.

Living large
The home features a spectacular patio, outdoor kitchen, pool and an expansive outdoor living area – which are perfect for the sunny Las Vegas climate. Thanks to our motorized retractable screens we were able to merge the interior and exterior spaces allowing the home’s eventual owners to maximize their space and truly “live large”.
Glare no more
With an average 310 days of sunshine a year, Las Vegas can get hot! So sun control is really important – which is why the design team selected a solar mesh in charcoal finish for the motorized screens. The mesh has a sun control factor of 90% which significantly reduces the exposure to UV rays and blocks hot air from entering the home – helping to control the temperature of the area where the screens are used.
Integration + automation
One of the things that visitors to the home love is that fact that the motorized screens’ components are invisible. Because the components are recessed into the building’s structure, the ten screens remain completely out of sight when not needed and blend the indoor and outdoor spaces in a really creative way.
What’s more our motorized screens are fully integrated into the home’s automation system which means they can be programmed and controlled automatically.
