Our screens are made from extruded aluminum components and fiberglass or polyester mesh, which makes them very durable. In fact, we’re so proud of their quality that we offer an industry leading limited lifetime warranty to give you complete peace of mind. If they’re well looked after and serviced regularly our screens will last many years.

Very durable! Whether you’re concerned about weather or enthusiastic guests walking into them, our screens are built to last. The mesh has enough give that it easily recovers from everyday bumps. And of course our screen components (excluding mesh) are covered under our limited lifetime warranty.

Phantom’s screens glide easily on their tracks and close with intuitive closure methods (for door and window screens) and simple remotes (for motorized making them easy to use and operate.

It depends on which material you choose: mesh, fabric, or clear vinyl. Whereas the vinyl is generally fairly water-resistant, fabrics and meshes with open weaves allow greater air flow, and a tighter weave offers more protection.

If the wind is very strong then the mesh may produce a “sailing” effect, or escape its tracks. This can be easily rectified when the wind has dropped. For peace of mind, it is always wise to retract the screens in very strong winds.

This depends on how many screens you order, and what type, but most installations are completed within one day. A single door screen can usually be installed in under an hour. On the other hand, there are a number of installation options for our motorized screens, including fully recessed and surface-mounted and so the installation time will vary by project.

That said, you will need to schedule your installation with your authorized Phantom expert who will take into account any manufacturing lead times when ordering your screens.

Depending on the mesh and fabric type, we can go up to 40′ wide with our motorized retractable screens. However, motorized screens are very customizable, so please reach out to your local Phantom rep-they’ll be happy to help you out.

Sure can! Match your screen’s frame and handle to your door, your trim, your doorframe, or your dog: it’s totally up to you. Select from one of our standard color offerings, or wood grain finishes. Can’t find a match? Supply us with a swatch of your preferred color and we’ll be delighted to match it.

It all depends on what type of screen you’re looking for: size, color, mesh, handle, etc. If you tell your local Phantom pro what you’re looking for, they’ll be able to provide you with more pricing information.

Our retractable screens are intended for insect or solar protection only and should not be used to fence pets.

The screens are made from extruded aluminum components and highly durable PVC coated fiberglass mesh or PVC coated polyester mesh.

It depends. Insect mesh tends to be more open and therefore allows more visibility, whereas solar and privacy mesh are more dense and may be more difficult to see through.
