After leaving his 9-to-5 five years ago, he turned his passion for cooking and hosting into a full-time career in recipe development, food photography, and digital content creation.
Beyond the kitchen, Christopher is a proud home décor enthusiast. His design style is a mix of chic and timeless elements. His home, much like his recipes, reflects his passion for elevated simplicity, warmth, and meaningful details.
Through his approachable style, love for entertaining, and deep respect for seasonal ingredients, Christopher is on a mission to help others fall back in love with cooking and to bring a little joy and beauty to everyday life, one recipe or dinner party at a time.
About the Project
His Home: Imagine a cottage in the south of France meets a Scandinavian cabin. His Calgary townhouse (a quirky five-level 1970s gem currently being lovingly renovated) is filled with heirloom antiques, natural textures like wood, rattan, cane, and water hyacinth, and many thriving plants.
Need: Christopher’s got this gorgeous house with a back door that opens to a fenced garden, perfect for summer hangouts. This door is right in his kitchen, where he films most of his recipe videos. So, when he’s cooking, he loves having the door open to let in fresh air, but he definitely doesn’t want any bugs coming inside. That’s why he needs a retractable screen.
Solution: This is where Suite Outdoors stepped in. The consultation was super easy, and they showed him how they could perfectly color-match his doors. Once he ordered his custom screens, installation day came quickly. He loved how they seamlessly blended with the door, and he quickly decided to add one to the front door to keep an eye on package deliveries and soak up the afternoon sun. He absolutely loves all the extra natural light, the gentle breeze from the back garden, and the sound of birds chirping. It’s definitely taken his summer experience up a notch.
