Seaside Cottage

Overview:: Located on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, this summer cottage is a quiet sanctuary from the hustle of city life. The owners of this luxurious yet eclectic seaside cottage have created a getaway that allows them to relax and enjoy outdoor living to the fullest.
Need:: Though mosquitoes are a minor issue in this region, wasps and flies can be a nuisance and disruptive to the peace and sanctuary being sought. Evening lights from inside the cabin attract flying insects to congregate, thereby making it difficult to keep the doors and windows open after the sun has set.
Solution:: Retractable Distinction Screen was selected for the high traffic double-French patio doors. One large screen covers the whole doorway, retracting out of sight when not in use. Pleated mesh provides extra visibility, while the flatness of the track allows guests to step barefoot on the bottom rail without even noticing it.
