Generation X concept home
The Generation X Concept Home in Eagle Creek, Orlando, FL is one of
three homes which have been designed and built for BUILDER magazine's
Concept Home project as part of the National Association of Home Builders
2012 International Builders' Show (IBS).
Outdoor living and open concept design were among the key elements
incorporated into the design of this concept home. In order to maximize
the time spent outdoors without having to worry about pesky insects or
hot midday sun, screens were needed to provide the necessary protection
without blocking the views.
Five recessed Executive motorized retractable screens by Phantom were
installed at the rear of the house to provide a combination of solar
shading and protection from insects, thereby allowing homeowners to
make the most of the favorable Florida climate and enjoy outdoor
living for much of the year.
